Brought my bike to get serviced here. They didn’t know my wheels were tubeless so they charged me for new rim tape (I had perfect rim tape…) and for new sealant. I recently took off my tires and found NO SEALANT in one of the wheels along with 2 different rim tapes in each wheel, hmm. Glad I didn’t get a puncture out riding!
Well so far the service has been great. The staff are very welcomming and helpful. Tim the owner is very friendly and outgoing and great to work with. He literally knows everything about bikes. He helped me chose the perfect bike for me. Brice was also very helpful as well when I picked up my bike. He gave me so many tips on how to care for it and clean it that I had to write some things down. They just did a free 60-90 day tune up and modified my handle bars for me. I love my new bike and I'm excited to keep riding and exploring new trails.
Ed and the rest of the staff were very helpful in getting my neglected bike into working condition. They were able to get me a new chain and fit my new accessories in the same day. Overall, great customer service and amazing bike accessory/part selection.
Orland Park Cycles did a full once-over on my 2022 Checkpoint ALR5 and I have not seen the bike so clean and fantastically riding since the day I bought it. It sees a lot of gravel and offroad trails and they really got into the nooks and crannies, did a fantastic job on the tire change/chain replacement, and just all in all - I have 0 complaints. The shop is full of hilarious and chill folks and I'll definitely be considering them when it comes time to pick up my N+1!
Brought my bike in for a full tune up. Kid working there described the work they would do on the bike as part of the tune up. I asked if they cleaned the bikes too. He replied that they do clean the bikes. I picked my bike up a week or to later, and while the tune up seemed fine, they never cleaned the bike. Frame wasn't cleaned, brake calipers untouched, front and rear derailleurs, untouched, full of dirt. Should have received a discount on the tune up. Won't bring my bike back there again.
Nice try Jim but you have this all wrong as you did assembling my trike. My friend who knew bikes never touched it. He merely looked at it and realized it was beyond him. Your employee who helped me load my trike into my car lifted the 2 front wheels and had his hands over the broken fender. And again the back plate for the center guide sprocket was bent and the chain wouldn’t stay on the sprocket. And the mirror was installed on the wrong side of the trike. You charged $250 to assemble the trike. The $261 is additional parts and labor to correct the things that were done wrong. The reason I never contacted you in the past was because I heard how a customer was being treated when I picked my trike and I knew the response to me would be just as you replied so I knew it was pointless. I also didn’t contact you for 2 1/2 months because the pedal fell off today and I had enough of it. It was obviously cross threaded. You can make all the excuses you’d like to but I know what was done to my trike and your employees know they did it. That’s why they told me what a “monsterl it was to assemble when I picked it up.
Couldn’t be happier. Jake and Kirk were 🔥🔥🔥 these guys got the passion and drive that makes it obvious they love fixing and cruising bikes on a daily basis. got me on the road asap. they were ready to go and made the bottom bracket scenario new pedals grips and the works happen UNDER an hour 10/10 …
Whatever you do, DO NOT take your bike or trike to this place for repair or assembly. I took a recumbent trike I bought there to have it assembled. I paid an extra $100 so I wouldn't have to wait a month for it to be completed...$250 total. When I got it home I found one of the fenders broken which was conveniently covered while an employee helped load into my car. The I found that the back plate on the center guide sprocket was ben not allowing to the chain to stay on it. My mirror was installed on the wrong side. The trike was scratched where work was done and now while riding it one of the pedals pulled of the crank arm because it was cross threaded when put on. All in all, $250 to have it assembled, and another $260 in parts and labor to repair and replace what they ruined. Their works are incompetent at best. If you take your bike to Orland Park Cyclery don't say you haven't been warned. I gave it one start because is the lowest possible to post a review.
